My Three Day Vegas Vacation
The last time I was in Vegas I went with my boyfriend at the time and
his friends and my young self couldn’t even walk through a casino. This
Vegas trip I was spontaneously invited by Brittany and Chance, two people
I had never traveled with before and, in all honesty, didn’t even know all that well.
Both times I spent three days in sin city, but I can say without hesitation that this
second trip was easily the better of the two. We did soooo much stuff in the three
days we were there and I cannot wait for us to take another trip back together. Hope
you enjoy reading about our Vegas shenanigans!
.
.
Day 1: Best Friends at Best Friend
.
Since we were only going to be gone for three days, driving to Vegas as I would
have preferred was out of the question and instead we hopped on a plane at
ICT with a dream and a cardigan ready to have a party in the USA.
.
.
Our plane landed in Vegas about 2:30pm and we headed straight to the
hotel we would be staying at for the duration of the trip, Park MGM.
.
.
We dropped off our stuff at the hotel, hung out in the room a little bit, and then
decided we wanted to head back downstairs to check out what all our hotel
had to offer. Brittany spent a little time gambling in the casino, unfortunately
walking away with nothing, and then we hit up Eataly where we got some cute
little pastries to snack on before our dinner reservation.
.
So cute and delicious! You can also get glasses of wine here that you can walk around with!
.
.
After Eataly we went next door to Chance’s restaurant request, Best
Friend, a Korean BBQ restaurant inside Park MGM owned by Roy Choi.
.
.
All of the food at Best Friend is served family style meaning anything
you order is ordered for everyone at the table and you eat like it is
a buffet. For our meal we decided to order the ramen
.
This was my first time trying ramen and I was pretty skeptical that I would like it. However, this actually ended up being my favorite dish of the night!
.
Kogi short rib street tacos
.
These street tacos turned out pretty good as well although Chance wasn’t a huge fan of the corn tortillas.
.
and the Uni (sea urchin) dynamite rice.
.
Unfortunately we did have a flop for the night and that was the Uni rice. I didn’t actually try it, but neither Chance or Brittany were fans. Guess it is just an acquired taste!
.
.
Oh and we also got some complimentary bread for the table to share.
.
These rolls were the freakin’ bomb. I honestly might even have to go so far as to say they were better than my favorite rolls of all time, Texas Roadhouse rolls, so you know that is saying something!
.
After we finished with our main dishes we were talked into dessert by
our server Sam and let him surprise us with what we were having. He
ended up bringing out the mango cheesecake and y’all if this is what they
eat in Moscow all the time then I am moving there. It was AMAZING.
.
.
With bellies stuffed full we decided to try and walk off our food babies
and jumped onto the shuttle train atop our hotel which took us right to the Bellagio
hotel so we could watch the famous fountain show.
.
We walked through the inside of the Bellagio before heading outside
and I immediately fell in love with the interior. It is exactly how I want my
house to look outside of spooky season. Give me allll the jungalow vibes!
.
.
Once outside we walked around the water to the side facing the Bellagio
and weaseled our way to the front of the crowd to watch the fountain show.
(You can see more from inside the Bellagio and more of the fountain show in this YouTube video)
.
.
Once the fountains were done dancing for us we continued to walk
down the strip toward the Venetian hotel.
.
Once inside the Venetian our hunt for monster shakes began. We scoured the
floors walking in circles a couple of times, but eventually we found one of the
places I was most excited to eat at, Black Tap.
.
.
They were getting close to closing time by the time we got there, but we were
able to grab some seats along a bench top and put in an order for a couple
of shakes. Chance went with the Cookie 'N Cream Supreme
.
.
and I ordered the Sweet 'N Salty.
.
Almost too pretty to eat….almost. lol
.
Day 2: Getting Spanked on Fremont Street
.
We had a bit of a late night the night before which made getting up
early for a little road trip a bit of a struggle, but Brittany and I pushed
through and made it out to Seven Magic Mountains about 8am.
.
Unfortunately, we were met with a sad surprise when we got to Seven
Magic Mountains. They were repainting the towers so my hopes of getting
up close and taking pictures of them in their full glory were dashed, but that didn't
stop me from still taking some pictures.

.
We drove to the nearest town to grab us some Starbucks and then
headed back to Vegas to collect Chance and continue our Vegas strip adventures.
.
Our first stop on the strip today was at the Adidas store to get Chance
some new shoes and then we went next door to M&M world.
.

.
We walked around all four levels, Brittany made some personalized M&Ms
.
.
and then we made it to the wall of M&Ms where my jaw just dropped. I wanted
to go up to each dispenser and try them all, you know, just in case the color
made them taste different. Lol
.
.
After M&M world we went into the Coca Cola store next door
.
.
and then with stomachs growling we made our way down the strip to the
Cosmopolitan in search of a secret pizza place.
.
We walked back and forth inside the Cosmopolitan trying to find an escalator
to take us to the third floor and, after finally finding one, looked for Blue
Ribbon and the hall of records.
.
.
We followed the hall of records down to the end which brought us right to the tiny Secret Pizza.
.
.
We put in an order for a sausage and pepperoni pizza and then took it out
to a little sitting area inside one of the main halls on the floor to eat.
.
I'm not going to lie…I don't fully think this pizza was worth the hunt. It was dripping (literally) in grease and I think Red Baron frozen pizzas have better flavor. Sorry Secret Pizza.
.
After eating about half of the pizza we decided we needed something
sweet to counteract the insane level of grease that had been on the pizza and
headed back down to the main level to grab us some ice cream from Milk Bar.
.
.
Milk Bar is unlike any ice cream place I had been to before in the way that
their ice cream is made from cornflake infused cereal milk instead of a normal
milk or cream. Both Brittany and I ordered pints of ice cream and ate them on
the go as we made our way back to Park MGM.
.
I'm not going to say this ice cream was the best I ever had, but it definitely is the most unique flavor wise! Not sure I would order it again, but I did enjoy it and think it is worth trying at least once!
.
Back at the hotel we took some time to chill and relax and watched some
Sam and Colby videos, a new favorite YouTube duo of mine, and after a
couple of hours of that it was time to get ready for our evening events!
.
.
Our first stop for the evening was at Mandalay Bay to see my favorite ocean
animals, sharks! My only complaint is that I wasn't able to get in the water
with them or feed them, but otherwise I thought the aquarium was super cool.
.
.
After the aquarium we drove to the Neon Museum where neon signs
go after they die. It was actually really cool to see and a great place to take pictures!
.
I want this cactus sign in my backyard please and thank you.

.
Once we made it through the neon museum we headed to the old
strip, aka Fremont Street, for dinner at the super unique Heart Attack Grill.
.
.
We walked inside and were given the rundown from the nurse before
having to don hospital gowns (you are required to wear these at all
times inside the restaurant) and were escorted to our seats.
.
Brittany with that IV of wine lol
.
Now before we walked into the restaurant we were well aware of another one
of their quirks which was the fact that if you don't finish ALL of your
burger (without any help from your friends) you would have to make your way
to the center of the restaurant, bend over a bar, and get spanked 3 times with a
leather strap by a nurse or doctor. We talked about this in the car on our way
over to Fremont street and Brittany said she needed someone from our group to
take one for the team so she could record it and I, maybe a little too eagerly, volunteered as tribute.
So while Brittany and Chance ordered single and double burgers
respectively, I ordered the quadruple bypass burger, 2 lbs of hamburger meat
covered in cheese and added bacon. I was getting spanked for sure.
.
My burger
.
As expected, I didn't end up finishing my burger, but I did
surprise myself by making it through 2 of the 4 patties. However that wasn't
going to be enough for me to escape the spanking. Now because Brittany and
Chance are such great friends they decided they wanted to change the rules a
little bit and asked if I could not only be spanked by our "nurse" but also by the
"doctor." Of course the workers agreed and I was the only one there that night to
receive a double beating (6 whacks instead of 3). Oh and y'all these guys were NOT
holding anything back. My butt was legit bruised after that, but I wouldn't change it.
In fact, I might just have to go back and not finish again..….hahahaha
.
.
After dinner it unfortunately started pouring down rain so we didn't get to
walk down Fremont Street like we planned, but instead went back to the hotel and off to bed.
.
Day 3: What Happens in Vegas Doesn't Always Stay in Vegas
.
We started our third and final day with breakfast at another Park MGM
restaurant, Primrose, which was freaking delicious and our waitress was
the bomb. Highly recommend eating here as well!
.
I seriously could eat full dinners of just those potatoes. So freakin good.
.
After breakfast we made our way to the car and then to a special
place in town where we were planning on permanently altering our bodies.
.
.
That's right….we were getting $10 tattoos! Now before someone starts going
off in the comments about the tattoos only being $10 know that this place
is in fact a professional tattoo parlor, they are popular with great reviews, and
everything is 100% safe so no need to be concerned!
.
The tattoo parlor didn't open until 11am, but we read online that it is common for
a long line to form down the street so we got there about an hour and a half
before opening and were the first ones in line. (No one actually started showing up till
about 30 minutes before opening so if you are going to go during the week I doubt
you need to get there as early as we did. lol)We hung out waiting for the doors
to open watching more Sam and Colby (I'm addicted okay lol) and then it was finally
time for us to pick the tattoos that would forever bond us and remind us of Vegas.
.
.
Brittany decided to go all out and get 3 which included Simba from
The Lion King, a tulip, and a dog nose.
.
.
Chance decided to get the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter.
.
.
And I decided to get an airplane.
.
.
Now Brittany and Chance have both had tattoos done before so neither
of them were too worried. I on the other hand have never had any tattoos before
so while I was excited I was also a little nervous. However, Brittany and Chance
reassured me it would be okay and that it really wasn't going to hurt that bad. The liars.
.
I chose to get my airplane on my ankle which is also where Brittany decided
to get one of hers and afterwards we both agreed that that was one of the most
painful places to put a tattoo. I am so glad my tattoo was small and just line
work cause y'all my face was scrunched in pain like the entire time. Lol In the end
though I wouldn't change the location and I am in love with it so much.
.
So cute!
.
Once all three of us were done with our tattoos (which really only took maybe 30 minutes)
we became an Uber for a couple of strangers we met at the tattoo
parlor (they legit paid us $20 to take them only about a mile down the road cause
they couldn't get an Uber from the tattoo parlor) and then headed to a place I
couldn't have been anymore excited to visit, Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum.
.
.
Unfortunately you are not allowed to take pictures or videos inside of the
museum, but I will tell you right now this is a must stop place especially if you are someone
who enjoys the paranormal and spooky things. Every artifact you see in this museum
is haunted or cursed in some form or another and the building itself has been known
to have its own haunted occurrences. Some of the things you will see inside include
haunted dolls (including the infamous Peggy), a dybbuk box, the Devil's rocking chair
from The Conjuring The Devil Made Me Do It, artifacts
from famous serial killers such as John Wayne Gacy and Charles Manson, and more.
Like I said it is a must stop and the RIP tickets are a must as well.
.
Now before I go on to other adventures I want to talk about some of the things
I experienced while at the haunted museum that I cannot explain. The first thing happened
as I was getting ready to walk into the museum for the first time. I was filming on my
camera (you are allowed to film outside and in the lobby area) and before we arrived at the
museum I made sure my camera had a full battery since I didn't know I wouldn't be able
to film and wanted to be prepared. I am walking up to the lobby door and all of a sudden
my camera battery drops from fully charged to flashing red as if the camera is
about to die. I was so confused and you can even hear me make a comment about this
happening in the YouTube video for the trip. Guess the spirits were needing some energy….
.
The next few things happened while actually inside the museum. First, the RIP members
were allowed access to the basement where satanic rituals were held (and where you can see Bella Lugosi's mirror) and where
a pentagram still covers the entirety of the floor. Inside the room there is a
spirit box (a device that allows spirits to utilize radio frequencies to communicate) that is
constantly running. I walked into the room and was going around the pentagram
when I stopped in my tracks because I swore I heard the spirit box say "Amy." Now could
it have just been my imagination? Sure because Brittany said she never heard
my name, but it was still weird.
.
The next experience I had was in the hallway. We were waiting to enter into a room
designed to look like a library and in the hallway there was a glass case that held
some type of haunted piece with a rosary wrapped around it. The end of the rosary that
has the cross was hanging off the end of the artifact and as we are standing there in the
hallway a guy next to me turns to me and says "hey…the rosary is moving" I turn to look
at the case and sure enough. The rosary inside the case that wasn't moving before and
was not in the path of any type of breeze as far as I could tell was now swinging
inside the case. Creepy.
.
My final experience at the museum happened in the last room we entered. I was
kind of off by myself looking at pictures of a woman documenting the stages of her
demonic possession and I had my purse slung across my chest so it was hanging
at my side. I'm standing still looking at the pictures with no one near me when all of
a sudden I feel a tug on my bag and feel it start to swing. I immediately turned around
and Chance, who was standing a little ways behind me, looked at me and
was like "what is it?" I looked at him and then down at my still swinging bag and then back
at him and asked "did you just grab my bag? Or bump into me or something?" to which
he replied "no. I just saw you turn around quickly." There was literally no one else
around that could have touched my bag and it didn't get caught on anything. I guess
the ghosts were just trying to rob me. Cool cool cool.
.
Once we made it all the way through the haunted museum we headed back to
the hotel hoping nothing followed us out, ate some of our leftover pizza, and then got all dressed up and
ready for Cirque du Soleil Mad Apple.
.
.
We walked across the street from Park MGM to New York New York, took
some pictures out in the lobby area, and then headed inside the theater for the show.
.
.
None of us had ever been to a Cirque du Soleil show before, but I think
all three of us had a blast and it was extremely entertaining. Would definitely go to another one!
.
One thing to note though if you do go is that you are NOT allowed to take any
video recordings or pictures during the show. They didn't tell us this before
starting and afterwards I was pulled aside in front of everyone by security
and had to stand there as they watched me delete all the footage of the
show I had taken. It was super sad and embarrassing so don't do it…or just be more discreet. Lol
.
After that whole debacle we walked around New York New York a little and
then went back to the hotel and off to bed.
.
Day 4: Goodbye Vegas :(
.
Sadly the next day it was time for us to board another plane and head
back to Kansas. I legit almost cried, but I am so thankful for the time I got in
Vegas and that I decided to go on this trip! Can't wait for our next one!
