365 Outfit Challenge Week 31

As you will quickly notice, I didn't take my outfit pics

in my living room this week. Instead I decided to switch

things up and take them in California! I went on a girls trip

to California during this challenge week with my friends,

Abigail, Kristin, and Nicole. I had an absolute blast and made

some memories that will last a lifetime. (You can read more

about our trip and adventures here!) Scroll down to see the

real challenge of the week, what outfits I was able to squeeze

into my carry-on!

The first day of the trip was spent hanging out in the

airport, on a plane, or driving in a car so comfort was

top priority. I chose to wear my slightly oversized marled

gray Aerie sweater, my black leggings, and my easy to

slip on/off (yay airport security) white Converse shoes.

Scrolling through my Pinterest I came across a very

similar outfit to this one worn by a girl walking along the

beach. Knowing we would be taking time to explore the

infamous Pfeiffer Beach (as well as any other beaches

us Kansas girls could find) I knew it was the perfect

outfit to bring along for the trip. My version features my

white v-neck sweater, my American Eagle skinny jeans,

my Sperry duck boots (waterproof shoes proved to be

one of the greatest things I could have brought on this trip), and

my long black scarf.

This day was filled with a lot of golden opportunities to

explore the city of San Francisco from the Golden

Gate Bridge to the 16th Avenue tiled stairs. My outfit for

this day featured my green plaid Universal Thread button

down, my No Boundaries skinny jeans, my brown

cardigan, and my Sperry duck boots.

This day's outfit comes to you from a prison cell at

Alcatraz! (Highly recommend making a trip out to this

island prison...it was one of my favorite parts of the trip!)

It features my rust colored Old Navy sweater, my American

Eagle skinny jeans, my Sperry duck boots, and my

black Old Navy quilted vest.

Our final day in California featured a walking tour of the

grand Winchester Mystery House, 2 plane rides, and a 2

hour drive home. Of course I wanted to be comfortable

through all of that so I chose to wear my gray striped long

sleeve shirt, my black leggings, my cream a.n.a. sweater

cardigan, and my white Converse.

Day 216:

I got home from the airport at 2am knowing that I had to

be at work by 5:30 that same morning. (Believe me...I

was kicking past Amy for not taking a vacation day!)

With less than 3 hours of sleep in my future I certainly

wasn't going to give up any extra time to getting ready so

I chose to wear this simple outfit featuring my

maroon "Adventurous Soul" sweater from The Parks

Apparel, my black American Eagle skinny jeans, and

my white Converse.

Day 217:

I was still missing the comfort of my bed this day so I

decided to try (nothing will ever be as great as actually

laying in my favorite place on earth) and create that same level

of comfort with my cream marled ¾ sleeve top, my warm gray crochet

cardigan, my black and white scarf, my red skinny jeans

(which feel just like a pair of leggings), and my gray knee high boots.

Favorite outfit: Day 212

Day 212 turned out to be a fairly windy and chilly day so I

was really glad that I chose to bring along this

sweater and my black scarf. The entire outfit was

extremely comfortable (perfect for all our hiking), practical

(my Sperry’s kept my feet warm and dry….well….until the

ocean decided it wanted to flow over the top of my boots), and

it was cute. It was pretty much everything you could ever

hope for from an outfit making it an easy choice for my

favorite outfit of the week!

Have you been to any of the landmarks where I took my

pictures? What is your go-to travel/airplane outfit? Did you

have a favorite outfit from this week? Let me know in the comments!
