Amy's Hair Transformation
.
.
I have secretly always wanted to dye my hair, but I was too afraid to bite
the bullet. I was afraid I wouldn't like the color I picked (not only am I extremely
indecisive, but I am also afraid of commitment). I was afraid it would damage
my hair beyond repair and my already extremely fine hair would fall out. I didn't
want to devote my life to $200 hair appointments every 6 months. I also knew my
extremely conservative dad would not be too happy about it. It was all quite the inner
struggle. However, amidst an actual quarter life crisis, I, like most everyone else
mid-crisis, decided there was no better time than now to grab life by the horns
and just do whatever I want. So...I did.

The Inspiration:
.
And of course….as all of my friends know...my obsession with Bebe Rexha also
played a HUGE part in this transformation (even though she now has red hair...that
I also kind of want. I'm telling you...I'm obsessed. Lol).

I also almost cut my hair to just above my shoulders like in a couple of
these pictures, but decided against it last minute. The
color was enough change for now. Lol

The Hairdresser:
.
Picking the right hairdresser is a very important thing and with this being my
first time I had no idea where the heck to go so I messaged my cousin
Shaina for her expert advice. She recommended
Lauryn at Shear Ambitions and after going there I highly recommend
her as well! Lauryn was great!
Super sweet, affordable, and she obviously knew what she was doing!
Trust her with my hair for all future appointments!
.
The Before:
Drab and lifeless. Definitely time for a change.
.
The During:
She decided to bleach my hair in layers rather than bleaching every
strand because it is a healthier option. So some of my hair is still my
original hair color and I actually really like the two tone look!
.
Annnnnnd the after:
At first I was nervous that I had made a mistake and I felt sooo self-conscious.
It was just so weird to see myself in the mirror with such blonde hair, but now
I couldn’t be happier! I LOVE my new hair color and I am so glad that I finally did it.
I am never going back to my old color. Ice queen for life. Lol
