Foodie Friday: Bricktown Brewery - Wichita, Kansas

On another book shopping outing for a big Barnes and Noble

sale (we're book girlies, of course we find any excuse to go book shopping)

Cass, Beau, and I first stopped across the street to fuel our tummies

at Bricktown Brewery, a brewery full of local flavors and fun vibes.

THE MENU

.

.

Of course we always have to start off our dining experiences with

an appetizer and this time around we went with the Bavarian pretzel sticks and queso.

.

.

For our main entrées we sought advice from our server on

what he thought was the best thing on the menu and he said

his favorite was the Hatch Mac & Cheese with chicken.

Unfortunately, this wasn't on the menu any longer, but he

managed to still get Cass a serving. Score!

.

.

I also went with the Hatch Mac & Cheese, but on a burger.

Y'all know I am a SUCKER for a mac and cheese burger.

.

.

Finally, we can't forget about Beau who got a whole pepperoni

pizza all to himself with some apple slices.

.

.

And of course no dinner outing is complete without dessert!

For this we went with the sizzling apple crisp topped with ice

cream and man do they really mean it when they say sizzling!

This dessert came out bubbling in its own little cast iron skillet

looking so good it was hard to wait for it to cool down before digging in.

Walking in to the building the décor of the place is similar

to every other brewery out there, but the atmosphere, extremely

welcoming and fun, is what makes it different. Smiles can be found

on the faces of those working the hostess stand the second you

walk in the door and on the faces of everyone working there.

Our server was absolutely amazing. He

knew the menu well, had great suggestions for us, and did a great

job at anticipating what we needed. My mac and cheese

burger sure did not disappoint with deliciously creamy mac

and cheese, a juicy burger, and a kick that had my nose running

like a river. The fries were also pretty dang delicious and the

dessert was worth every bubbling hot bite I took. Definitely would return!
