My Christmas Season Bucket List
Y'all remember Cam? My friend and inspiration for the 31 Reasons Why Halloween is the Best Holiday article? Yeah well I made a little deal with him. I told him if he showed
up to my Halloween party this year I would try my hardest to have the best
Christmas season I have ever had. I would put as much effort into Christmas
as I do Halloween. Well....he showed up to the party and so now here I am having
to hold up my end of the deal. I'd be lying if I said I was excited for this. Christmas and Valentine's
Day are just holidays overflowing with cheesy lovey dovey yuck goodness, but hey a deal is a
deal and I am ready for the challenge! Now, in an effort to guide me on this path to the best
Christmas ever, I have decided to construct a Christmas season bucket list full of alllll the most
popular Christmas things and am sharing it with you here now. I hope you enjoy seeing
what is on my list (if you have any suggestions to help a girl out be sure to let me know) and
wish me luck on finding that Christmas spirit! lol Happy Blogmas!

.
MY CHRISTMAS SEASON BUCKET LIST (in no particular order)
.
Make a gingerbread house
.
.
I have seen the gingerbread kits at Walmart and watched multiple Christmas movie characters
try their hand at building their own, but I have yet to ever actually try and build a gingerbread house myself.
As an added twist this year I am hoping to participate in a gingerbread house building
competition with my friends so wish me luck!
.
Go ice skating
.
.
I've been ice skating once before many years ago and while I am not the next Kristi Yamaguchi
I know I had some fun so I wouldn't mind getting back out on the ice again this Christmas season.
.
Look at Christmas lights
.
One thing I have done every year at Christmas is drive around and look at all the
Christmas lights. This year my main goal is to finally make it to Botanica in Wichita
and maybe even check out the Christmas lights at the zoo!
.
Bake Christmas cookies
.
.
This is another one of my own personal Christmas traditions although this year I have
something very special in store for y'all regarding Christmas cookies. Stay tuned!
.
Go caroling
.
.
I am not going to sit here and tell y'all that I have the voice of an angel (I most definitely do not) and
you probably will never catch me singing up on a karaoke stage so this bucket list item is one
that I am a little hesitant about doing. However, caroling with my family at my Grandma's nursing
home are some of my favorite Christmas memories so I am not completely against the idea. lol
.
Write a letter to Santa
.
.
I can't remember the last time I actually wrote a letter to Santa so this should be interesting. lol
.
Read a Christmas book
.
.
I was already planning on doing this whether it was on the bucket list or not
so this is just like a two for one item! lol
.
Make hot chocolate
.
.
I typically stick with the Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets (and go through it like crazy
in the winter), but this year I am going to try my hand at creating some homemade
hot chocolate that is just as delicious.
.
Hang stockings
.
.
A fireplace mantel just isn't complete without stockings and this is one item I can actually already cross off the list!
.
Decorate the tree
.
.
The Christmas tree is the centerpiece of all the Christmas decorations in my
opinion and every year I try and decorate it as best I can.
.
Wear matching Christmas PJs
.
.
Not sure who I will be wearing matching Christmas pajamas with this year, but I'm sure
Brittany and the rest of the crew would be down!
.
IF IT SNOWS.....
.
Build a snowman
.
.
I have never been great at building snowmen, but this year I am determined to make my best
and biggest one yet....in my backyard so none of my neighbors see me struggling. lol
.
Have a snowball fight
.
.
I have never actually participated in a snowball fight, but they look like so much fun in
the movies! lol Maybe my snowman that I will build will come to life and help me win. lol
.
Go sledding
.
.
Some of my favorite memories as a kid are riding in a sled while getting dragged along
by a big John Deere tractor or my brother's little four wheeler. Definitely wanna do this again.
