Friday Eve Flashback: Festival Fun
Another week is almost over! Happy Friday Eve!
.
What I've Been Up To
.
Let's kick off this flashback with some festival fun! Friday and Saturday I spent
the majority of my time in Marion, Kansas celebrating the 25th Annual
Chingawassa Days festival! I had so much fun eating amazing food, listening
to some great music artists, and making more memories in the park with
my friends, family, and Nick who definitely hated me by the end of the
weekend after having to endure all of the pictures and videos I took of us. lol
.
.
Not a fan when I give him bunny ears back. lol
.
My little cousins are the CUTEST.
.
Southern Accents (A Tom Petty cover band) was the headliner Friday night.

WEINER DOG RACES!

Absolutely DELICIOUS BBQ.

Nate Smith was the headliner for Saturday!

You can read more about my Chingawassa weekend as well as
watch a vlog on everything I did here!
.
Another fun thing I did on Saturday while waiting on the rain storm to
pass was bake a very special cake. I baked this adorable red velvet
ghostie to celebrate my second channel, Paranormal Late Night Shenanigans
reaching its first 100 subscribers! Thank you to all who have subscribed
so far and if you aren't subscribed already and are a lover of spooky
ghost hunts then go check it out! Paranormal Late Night Shenanigans

Sunday I had another celebration to attend, Fr. Kapaun Day. My home parish
of Pilsen, Kansas is the home to Fr. Emil Kapaun who is currently on his
way to sainthood. As you Catholics out there might know, this makes him
a pretty big deal and my parish is pretty proud to claim him as ours
celebrating Fr. Kapaun Day every year on the first Sunday in June. This
year I arrived to church about 15 minutes before mass which meant
that I was most definitely late and had to watch a stream of the
mass in the basement of the church, but I definitely think
it is safe to say it was another successful celebration.
You can actually read more about Fr. Kapaun and what he
means to my family in this blog article I wrote.
.
After mass I finally got Nick to eat at the Santa Fe Trail Café in Tampa and then
we went and did more work on his house. Well...he mowed and I sat and
tried to get a tan while reading my book. lol
.
.
Monday it was back to the ol' work grind and then back to the Humane Society.
.
Reminds me of Granger when he was a baby
.
Tuesday I got to spend some time with Nick convincing him to try
out a Foodie Friday place with me! Review will be out tomorrow!

What the Cats Have Been Up To
.
The babies have still been enjoying the toys they got for their birthday this year...
.
.
...and spending a LOT of time lounging around. Guess they are on summer vacation. lol
They also have found a new "friend" in a stray cat that likes to hang outside
on my front porch. The cat is pretty skittish and the babies love to hiss at
him when they see him, but I am determined to one day make all of us friends. lol
(I don't have a picture of the stray cat cause he likes to run away every
time I pull out my phone but I will try to get one for next week!)
.
Bailey's new favorite way to lay.
.
Seriously though. lol
.
Granger how is that comfortable?
