Friday Eve Flashback: Father's Day

Happy Friday Eve and hope all you dads out

there had a wonderful Father's Day weekend!

WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO

.

Thursday night my handsome tall drink of water came over to see

me and offered to put up the backer boards in my walk in closet!

He had it done in no time and was super patient with me even when

I wasn't being the most helpful helper. lol This man is seriously amazing.

.

.

Once the boards were up I made us a Cajun style sausage

and potatoes sheet pan dinner with some corn on the cob.

.

.

Friday night I had a much needed self care night watching

a horror movie (which turned out to be a waste of

my time unfortunately), eating pizza rolls, and chilling with the babies.

.

.

Saturday was a work day around the house finally

working on my bathroom deep clean and my closet!

.

It is sooo close to being done! I cannot wait!

This was seriously the most chaotic and stressful furniture build ever. Thanks Walmart. lol

.

Sunday was Father's Day so after church I headed over to my

brother Adam's house for steaks and to hang out with dad.

.

Guess Adam's dog Sadie was worn out from all the company and table scraps she got to eat.

.

After dinner and chilling for a few hours Dad went home and Adam

and I headed out to Nick's to help him work on his house. Well...Adam

and Nick worked on the house and I watched them while trying

to get a tan. (Sadly that dark summer tan is STILL eluding me.

I guess I need to be in Utah or Arizona for a tan to stick.)

Once Adam and Nick called it quits for the day Adam went home

and Nick and I had a picnic dinner from Casey's. I always forget just

how good Casey's pizza is till I have it again. lol I also gave their

mac and cheese and peanut butter bars a try and y'all

they were both pretty delicious. Definitely recommend.

Monday I had the day off for Juneteenth and spent most of the

day again working on my closet by finishing putting together

the vanity, patching the last remaining holes in the wall, and putting up some more décor.

Monday night I drove back out to my brother's to enjoy

a little time in the country and another dinner with Nick.

.

Tuesday night I finally started moving clothes into the closet!

I still have more to go just have to wait on more

hangers to come in, but I am loving how it looks.

.

What the Cats Have Been Up To

.

The cats have been trying (and failing) to adjust to being kept

out of my bedroom by scratching and scratching and scratching

at the door. I also finally got their new water fountain up

and running just to find out that they are NOT fans. Granger

legit hissed at it and looked like he lost one of his nine lives

trying to run away from it when I brought him over to it.

SMH. I guess back to the gravity water dish we go. lol I do

have to give Granger props though because he has been doing

a fairly decent job catching AND eating bugs he finds

around the house.

(He might be my favorite cat at the moment for that reason. lol)

This broom has been a lifesaver with sweeping up all the cat

hair on my hardwood floors. Easily one of my favorite
