Watch It Wednesday Part 7
Here is a look at my thoughts on the shows and movies I have watched because of the Netlix top 10 trending list! What shows/movies have you found that are worth a watch?

Don’t Look Up SKIP
Um. Well. The ending of this movie was probably one of the most upsetting and depressing endings I have seen in a movie for quite some time. The entire movie has the same slow dramatic feel of Silver Linings Playbook and I had to google whether or not it was supposed to be a parody for how polarized our world currently is with the COVID vaccine. I didn’t find a straight answer, shocker, but I find it hard to believe that the vaccine didn’t at least provide some inspiration for the film. The cast of the movie is star-studded with Leonardo DiCaprio (who still won’t be winning any more Oscars for this performance), Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, and Meryl Streep. However, that certainly wasn’t enough to save this movie from being a super forgettable not worth watching flick. Also the 2 credit scenes at the end of the movie were absolutely stupid. Don’t even waste your time.

Emily In Paris WATCH
This TV show is cheesy as all get out and the main character has things happen just a little too easy for her, BUT I would be lying if I said I didn’t love it. Why? I really couldn't tell you, but I do. Lol
.
Queer Eye WATCH
The first time I ever watched this show I had absolutely no idea what to expect. All I knew about it was that it featured these five gay men who give other people makeovers. However, after watching season 1 episode 1 I realized it was so much more than that and I flew through that season like no one's business. Jump forward to today and the release of season 2 which I again watched all the way through in one sitting. Like an addict I couldn’t stop and it was rare for me to make it through an episode without shedding a few tears at one point or another. These men are not just out giving makeovers, they are out changing lives. Shoot they have changed my life and it feels like I gain more and more confidence in being myself after each episode. Ugh! I love the fab five so freakin’ much!
(Highly recommend reading Jonathan’s book Over the Top. Game. Changer.)

The Unforgivable WATCH
I don't think this is the best movie you will ever watch or even Sandra Bullock's best performance (it was weird to see her play her character in this movie), but I found the story to be quite interesting. It is definitely a movie on the slower side (similarly to Maid) and truthfully I didn’t find all of the drama to be that, well, dramatic. However, the little twist in the movie I didn’t see coming so it got points for that!
.
Hype House SKIP
I didn't know this was a show about real people. Totally thought it was a work of fiction! Once I realized it was a reality tv show I was intrigued as they are my guilty pleasure and there were people in the show (like Nikita Dragun) that I actually knew and followed. However, the show just wasn’t something I felt like I needed to watch. All the people in the show were acting like whiny kids and the drama was dumb. I totally understand that the life of an influencer is hard and I am not hating on their careers, but this show just wasn’t for me.
.
Twentysomethings: Austin WATCH
This show has similar vibes to The Circle, but not quite as good and where everyone gets to actually see each other face to face. Lol I like how everyone there isn’t focused on trying to find love. Well, not solely focused on trying to find love. They are twenty somethings after all so “romance” will always be something they look for. Lol Overall, I was entertained while watching this show so I would say it is worth a watch.
.
Community WATCH
Okay so this wasn't on the trending list, but I wanted to include it because I have fallen in love with this show. My friend Kristin recommended this one to me and so while I was on my last vacation I asked my friend Justin if he wanted to start a Netflix teleparty session (if y’all aren’t doing these with your friends you need to. I LOVE using this extension.) and watch it with me since we had just finished Supernatural and were looking for something new to watch. It is ridiculous and funny and like I said we have both fallen in love with it.
.
Pretty Smart WATCH?
I was pretty excited to start this show because I really enjoyed Emily Osment’s other show Young and Hungry. However, this is not a show you will love, especially not at first. Truthfully it took me about 3 episodes to get into it and past all the extreme cheesiness without rolling my eyes. It is kind of more of a background show, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t catch myself smiling and even laughing at a few points (And I am totally obsessed with Solana’s fashion sense.) and when I found out I had watched the last episode in the season I was pretty upset about it. It is a show that will grow on you I think.
.
Happy Endings WATCH
If you like New Girl then I think you will also like this show. It has a lot of laid back humor and is a great show to throw on if you don’t really want to think. This show has definitely become a comfort show for me and every time I need some noise, but don’t want to pick something out, I put this on and I am super content.
.
Cheer WATCH
NEW EPISODES!!!! I was a cheerleader for like one year in junior high and quickly realized it was not for me and that I would rather be out playing the sport than cheering on everyone else. Lol (Also my flexibility and confidence were absolute poo soo that didn’t help me want to stay in the squad.) However, I have always had a lot of respect for cheerleaders who cheer competitively like they do in this show. It is a super dangerous sport and you have to have so much trust in your fellow cheerleaders it just blows my mind. So so so good.
