A Prolonged Goodbye - Spending 24 Hours in Nashville
Another one of my besties has left me and the state of Kansas behind to go chase her dreams in another state.
However, before her and her family officially made it to their new home in Florida we decided to prolong
the goodbye and live it up together for 24 hours in Nashville. Brittany, her husband Tyler, their son
Easton, their dog Marshall, their cat Oreo, Rhett, and I all drove through the night 12 hours to make
this happen and we were able to have a bunch of laughs while creating some great memories.
Hope you enjoy watching/reading about our time!

After not getting any sleep the night before we decided to sleep in a bit so our one day in
Nashville started around noon with lunch at Johnny Cash's Bar and BBQ restaurant.
My one ask was that we get BBQ (my all time favorite style of food) while in town so I was pretty excited
to try out the BBQ at Johnny Cash's Bar. A full review of this restaurant can be found here!

After lunch we took a nauseating Uber trip to the Opry Mills Mall to walk through the Madame Tussaud's wax museum inside.
.
.
We were all kind of excited to visit the museum, however, I personally would say this
activity is skippable. It cost over $30/adult and it took us less than 10 minutes to walk
through. The wax figures were very lifelike and they had some fun ways to interact
throughout the museum I just wish for the price that it was a longer experience.
.
Probably the closest I will ever get to Chip Easton, a man I have had a crush on since his
Whose Line Is It Anyway? days.
.
After our disappointing trip through the museum, we walked through the rest of the mall
stopping so Brittany and Easton could get fish pedicures (yes, fish pedicures) and then
on to the Lego Store so the kids (Rhett and Easton) could get some Legos.
.
After the mall we took, this time, a terrifying Uber ride (we almost got into at least 10 accidents
during the trip and I am pretty sure he was high cause his vehicle smelled like weed) to our hotel
where we let out Marshall and picked up one of our vehicles to take to dinner at Party Fowl.
(This again will be a Foodie Friday so stay tuned for the review!)

Once we were finished with dinner we made our way to the Tennessee State Capital, the meeting
place for our walking ghost tour! (OG Late Night Shenanigans at it for the last time...) During
the ghost tour we walked around downtown Nashville visiting some supposedly haunted locations
including places like the capital building, Polk's tomb, and the Hermitage Hotel.

Unfortunately, during the tour Brittany started to feel sick so her, Tyler, and Easton headed
back to our hotel while Rhett and I finished out the tour together. Once the tour was
over Rhett used his great people skills and was able to get us a private "tour" down to the
haunted Printer's Alley along with some extra spooky ghostie stories.
.
The next morning everyone packed up and we said our goodbyes. Brittany and her family
headed to Florida while Rhett and I headed back to Kansas. However, before we could
make it back home Rhett decided he wanted to stop and do something else along the way
and so we made a pit stop in St. Louis to see The Gateway Arch. (Man finally understands how fun travelling is! lol)
.
Rhett: "I better see this picture on the blog...or as the thumbnail for the YouTube video." Well....here ya go Rhett. lol
.
You can read more about the arch in this article from when I visited with another one of my besties Abigail.
