Visiting the Bison At Maxwell Wildlife Refuge - Canton, KS

I have lived within 30 minutes of the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge for over 5 years now, but

it wasn't until just last September that I was convinced by one of my best

friends and adventurer Kristin to actually take a visit. Hope you enjoy watching and reading!

The Maxwell Wildlife Refuge sits along the Kansas Prairie Trail Scenic

Byway outside of Canton, Kansas.

It was set up by a non-profit organization established in 1993 called the Friends

of Maxwell who continuously work with the KDWP (Kansas Department

of Wildlife & Parks) to provide educational opportunities and works

hard to preserve Kansas nature and wildlife.
