Now while I am sure their food is good any time you go, the absolute best
time to visit this little cafe is on one of their buffet days. I’m not entirely
sure what their schedule for breakfast buffets is (although I know they have
a breakfast buffet almost every 1st Saturday of the month) and their
BBQ buffet happens every Friday night from 5pm-7:30pm.
.
When you go for the buffet my best tip is to get there early as the inside
of the restaurant is quite small and these are hands down their busiest times.
Also once they run out of food they aren’t making any more so to ensure you
get everything your heart desires you definitely want to get there before the big rush.
.
When you walk into the cafe you can pick your table and a sweet waitress will
come by and take you drink orders. After that it is all on you. Make your way up
to the buffet bar and fill your plate sky high. I guarantee that there isn’t a bad
choice! You can go back as many times as you would like (just get a new plate
each time) and your buffet also includes your drink and salad bar and
dessert if it is the BBQ buffet.
.
.
For their breakfast buffet they usually have quite the assortment of breakfast
foods including pancakes, biscuits and gravy (my absolute favorite breakfast food), homemade
sausage, ham, and their infamous breakfast casserole. They also have amazing
cinnamon rolls you can buy as well (highly recommend getting a pan
of these to take home. You will thank me later.)
.
For the BBQ buffet they have a great salad bar thaaaaaat I usually skip over to
head straight for the main show, the BBQ. They have brisket, they have fall off the bone
ribs, they have their homemade sausage, they have fried catfish, they
have cheesy potatoes that I am convinced are a literal gift from God
plus veggies and rolls and cornbread muffins.
.
Cheesy. Gift. From. God.
.
And then once you are done eating your BBQ, if you have any room left, you gotta
check out their dessert table. This table features an assortment of the best
dessert in the world, pie, as well as a few other things such as cookies. I
neglected to snag a photo of this table or of my pie as I was too busy stuffing
my face, but when I go back I will try and remember to take a pic so you
can witness the beauty too….or maybe….I don’t know….just go see it for
yourself. Lol The pie alone is worth however long of a drive to me! Lol
.
And here is a look at their menu when they aren’t having a buffet:

that you certainly do not want to miss. The people who run it are great
AND the food is straight up to die for. Just be sure to wear your
stretchy pants and maybe have a wheelchair on stand-by because you just
might have to be rolled out of there by the time you are done.
