It's Friday night and cold outside as we find the corner BBQ place B&C near St. Francis hospital. They have a tiny parking lot
right in front of the building and another one located right across the street, but unfortunately for us
both were full, so we turned around and parked along the street a little ways down from the restaurant.
We walked to the restaurant with each breath making little clouds in front of our faces and then swung open
the door and stepped into the surprisingly large and open restaurant. We were seated immediately at a
big long wooden table near the door complete with tall bar stools. I was hoping we were going to get to try out
their BBQ buffet, but sadly that is something only offered during lunch so we were stuck picking our food off of their menu.
.
.
We perused the menu for a little bit and then decided to, of course, start off with
some appetizers. I knew I needed to try the loaded potato wedges.
.
Rhett ordered the fried mac & cheese Jalapeño poppers hoping to find some spice. (He didn't, but Brittany and I did. lol)
.
And Brittany wanted to give the BBQ meatballs a try.
.
We snacked on the appetizers and then it was time to put in our main orders.
Tyler ordered the smokehouse burger with fries.
.
Alexis ordered the pulled pork dinner with sides of mac and cheese and waffle fries and a piece of Texas toast.
.
Brittany ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with a side of mac and cheese.
.
Easton ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with fries.
.
And finally Rhett and I went all out with him ordering the combo plate with sides of
mac and cheese and potato salad and a piece of Texas Toast
.
and I ordering the prime rib special with sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes.
.
After all of that food I definitely didn't have any room for dessert so we packed up our leftovers and headed to Botanica!

Crew Review:
.
Alexis: 6/10
Alexis thought the food was good, but had to give the place a lower overall rating for not having
many options of White Claw and for the waitress completely forgetting to bring her the White Claw she did order.
.
Easton: 10/10
Easton loved his grilled cheese!
.
Brittany: 7/10
Brittany thought the meatballs were yummy, but her Philly was dry. However, she said after she
added mayo to it it really brought it all together.
.
Rhett: 5/10, 8/10, 7/10
Rhett decided he wanted to be an overachiever and gave me 3 different ratings. lol First is the 5/10 rating which
he gave for the food. He said the reason he went with this rating was because the meat was fairly dry and that it could have been seasoned better.
He gave the atmosphere of the place 8/10 and finally gave the
service a 7/10 rating saying the wait staff was super nice, but could have done a better job.

Walking in to B&C I was immediately surprised by how big the space was and I loved the design
of the interior and the atmosphere of the whole place. It seems like it would be a great place to come watch the big game or celebrate a birthday or workplace holiday. (In fact when we were there there was a big party that had reserved a section of the restaurant to do just that.) The restaurant was fairly busy, however, I do have to agree with Rhett that our waitress definitely could have done a lot better. It just seemed like she forgot about us on more than one occasion. Now, moving on to food. The loaded potato wedges were freakin' bomb. They did have a bit of a spicy kick to them, but they were so good I didn't care.
They were easily my favorite food from the whole night. My prime rib dinner all
turned out to be pretty dang good as well and full of amazing flavor. However, I did try some of the meat on Rhett's plate and again I have to agree with him that it was very dry. Definitely something you would have to drown in sauce and, truthfully, good BBQ shouldn't need sauce. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I have definitely
had better food and service at other BBQ places. Might be back for a redemption dinner, but probably not anytime soon.
