Foodie Friday: Nortons Brewing Company - Wichita, KS

The crew finally had a chance to venture to the big city of Wichita and after finding out no one

else in the group had been to or had even heard of Nortons I made the executive decision that that

was where we would be eating. Nortons used to be part of my pre concert routine back when I was

going to concerts at Intrust so I was excited to take my friends here and get their thoughts

which you can read by scrolling on down!

Our party of 5 strode into Nortons and were sat at a table in the busy

restaurant almost immediately. We were handed two menus, their food menu and

drink menu, and got to perusing (while also admiring all of the décor inside of the place).

.

.

When our waitress arrived at the table we put in our drink orders with Brittany, Tyler, and Alexis

all opting for some alcoholic ones (according to Alexis the Island Hobo drink is apparently a

drink good enough to sleep with so definitely one to remember when you go to Nortons). We

also put in a few orders of appetizers including some fried pickles,

.

pretzels with house made beer cheese and a spicy brown honey mustard sauce,

.

and, what I would say is probably my favorite appetizer they offer, bacon crack.

(They seriously couldn't have picked a better name for this app.)

.

Not long after we started stuffing our faces with appetizers it was time to order our main dishes.

Tyler started us out with the Hangover Burger.

Brittany got the BLT with a side of the parmesan garlic fries.

Alexis, Rhett, and I all three got the Norton Burger

Now THAT is a burger.

.

We ate and ate until we could barely take another bite....and then we ordered dessert which included a strawberry shortcake

and a literal smore's platter.

This is probably one of the coolest desserts I have ever seen offered at a restaurant and it was so much fun!

"My favorite so far. The grilled cheese burger was an amazing creation.

Strawberry shortcake and hobo drink were both 7/10."

.

Brittany: 8/10

.

"Aside from the seafood restaurant [Barolo Grille] it was my favorite. Definitely would love

to go again and next time get the igloo!" (They have "igloos" outside on their patio you can reserve

for your group. You have to do so pretty far in advance though as they get reserved fast.)

.

Rhett: 7/10

.

"That place was awesome. Food was really good and an easy 8/10. Really enjoyed the

burger with the grilled cheese and the appetizers were really good too. Environment was

7/10 and waiters/waitress were 6/10. I felt like she could of come around a few more times."

I am never going to argue with anyone that recommends going to Nortons to eat.

The Norton burger has been my all time favorite burger from the very first time

I ordered it many years ago and I wouldn't be surprised if I die with it still being my all time favorite.

It. Is. Amazing. Oh and the bacon crack...y'all...you don't know what the perfect appetizer tastes

like until you try that. The inside of the building is really dope giving off mad gastropub

vibes and I think our waitress actually did a pretty good job. Definitely a place I will continue to return to.
