Foodie Friday: Inman Harvest Cafe - Inman, KS
Fried chicken is a great way to get my attention. However, combine fried chicken
AND Thanksgiving food and you won't be able to keep me away. So I guess that
means I can expect to find myself at the Inman Harvest Cafe every year from
now on to enjoy their annual fried chicken turkey day. Apparently this year
was their 15th annual event and I can't believe it has taken me this long to find
out about it! Scroll on down to read more about this amazing sounding dinner event.

Justin, Nick, and I walked into the small main street cafe and the place
was HOPPING. There was a constant stream of people coming and
going, but even with the cafe being so busy we were able to get
seat at a table pretty quickly.
.
.
Once seated at the table one of the ladies working there kindly took our
drink orders and gave us the full rundown on their event suggesting we
hit the dessert cooler first before filling a plate at the buffet since the
desserts go fast (don't have to tell me twice!).
.
I ended up picking the chocolate cream pie (obviously) and then made my
way to the buffet line on the other side of the tiny place.

The first thing I want to address is how amazing the ladies working
here were. There were so many people and they were super busy, but none
of them appeared flustered or were short with the customers in any
way. They were so great at anticipating needs and informing us newbies on
how everything worked with super helpful tips. I honestly think it was some
of the best service I have ever received at a restaurant before. The decor
of the place definitely fit the small town farm community well and, combined
with the amazing staff, made it feel like home to me. I was no longer
at a restaurant to eat Thanksgiving dinner, but at Grandma's house with
my family and it was a wonderful feeling. The food was also delicious and
you could tell it was homemade with love just as their outside sign said.
.
.
They also somehow managed to keep things stocked up even with the constant
flow of eaters AND made sure to have plenty of chicken legs available which
made ya girl very very happy. Overall, I had a great dining experience
and I definitely want to go back again next year (and during one of their normal days as well).
