A Harry Potter Birthday Bash
July 31st. To many this may be just another day, but to this big nerd
this day is a special one worth celebrating. This day is Harry Potter's
birthday! For years I have celebrated this day as if it were my own birthday
creating a fun nerdy little tradition no matter what day of the week it
happens to fall on always complete with a movie marathon and birthday cake.
You can check out my article featuring the only movie marathon party I
celebrated with someone else (complete with specific Hogwarts goodies like treacle tart) here
or scroll on down to read more about another one of my epic birthday parties. Hope you enjoy!
.
.
For this Harry Potter birthday bash I of course had to get all dressed up
sporting one of my Harry Potter shirts and even doing an eye makeup
look to match the colors of my Hogwarts house, Ravenclaw!
.
.
Then of course you can't have a movie marathon without snacks and this year I went all out!
I had some Hogwarts houses themed snacks including
HufflePUFFs (Cheetos), RavenCLAWS (bugles), Gryffindor Grapes, and
some Slytherin Snakes (gummy worms).
.
.
I also created my own little Honeydukes candy shop complete with
Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans (jelly beans) wizard hats (Hershey kisses),
broomsticks (Reese's cups with pretzel sticks), wands (Twizzlers), and M&Ms.
.
.
And finally I made some adorable chocolate owl cupcakes using Oreos and M&Ms for the features.
.
.
For the movie marathon watching I also made sure to have comfy watching
space piled high with blankets and pillows and popcorn at the ready!
.
.
And that is how I celebrated yet another Harry Potter birthday!
Hope you enjoyed reading! Have you ever hosted a Harry Potter
movie marathon or tried some Harry Potter treats?
