For the past couple of years I have put out a 13 nights of Halloween watch

However, this year I decided there were just waaaaay too many good Halloween/horror

October 1st: The Descent

This movie is one that isn't talked about enough I think. I watched it for the first

time last year and was impressed by the scare factor.

Watched this movie on a whim one year and ended up finding what I consider to

be one of the scariest movies I have ever seen. Almost always the first

movie I recommend to scary movie lovers.

October 5th: The Strangers

Movies like this are ones that will have me triple checking every lock and

sleeping with all the lights on every time. Oh and the fact that it

is INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTS really adds a whole new level of scare for me.

October 6th: The Exorcist

With the new movie coming out, The Exorcist: Believer, there is no

October 11th: The Amityville Horror (2005)

A remake that I find way better than the original and not just because

it has Ryan Reynolds in it! A great horror movie I could watch again and again and again.

A series in line with Insidious that has the makings of

October 13th: Friday the 13th

When God gives you a real life Friday the 13th you celebrate by having

October 14th: Pet Semetary

Another classic getting a new series addition this year means there is no

better time for a revisit. I personally think the remake is scarier than the

original, but hey to each their own! And if you are a reader this is also an

amazing book by the master of horror himself Stephen King!

Stephen King might not like this movie, but I do so my list my rules! lol

Absolute classic and if you haven't had the chance to visit the hotel (The Stanley)

that inspired this movie I highly recommend you go and spend a night. It is

not only beautiful, but I had an amazing experience ghosts or not.
