Movie-Fi-Cation Part 3
Dirty Dancing (1987) ★★★
It had been awhile since I had watched this entire
movie (I can’t tell you how many times I have watched
the “Time of Our Lives” dance scene though), but it
was just as good as I remembered it. I will admit that it
was a little cheesy and over dramatic at times, but
honestly I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it. Also, if
you are needing any fitness motivation then this is
definitely the movie you need to watch. Both Patrick
Swayze and Jennifer Grey look absolutely amazing in
this movie and I honestly almost started
doing crunches while watching it.

Favorite Character: Baby
A League of Their Own (1992) ★★★★★
I have seen this movie so many times I can quote
it from start to finish flawlessly. However, no matter how
many times I watch it, it never gets old and each
watch through is an extremely enjoyable one. There
are so many great comedic moments, heartwarming
moments, and a cast and story that is hard to beat.
Most definitely a movie EVERYONE should see.
Favorite Quote: “There’s no crying in baseball!”
Favorite Character: Mr. Capadino
Grease (1978) ★★★★
With so many laugh out loud moments and a
soundtrack you just can’t help but sing along with, this
is a movie I can watch again and again and again! I
do have to say that the movie does kind of send a bad
message at the end with Sandy changing who she is
for a guy. However, I would be lying if I said I didn’t
like “bad” Sandy better and will probably be
dressing up as her for Halloween this year.
Favorite Quote: “Tell me about it, Stud.”
Favorite Character: Rizzo
Favorite Song: "Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee"
Footloose (1984) ★★★★
I thought for sure my eyes would permanently be
stuck in the back of my head by the end of this
movie as many times as I rolled them at some of the
people in the town. The extreme levels they went to
was just crazy! (I definitely teared up a little when the
book burning scene came on.) However, I have always
enjoyed watching this movie and, perhaps an unpopular
opinion here, but this version (the original) is the best
version hands down. Great soundtrack, amazing dancing
scenes (yeah you better believe I was up dancing the line
dance at the end!), and so many great characters.
Favorite Character: Willard
The Breakfast Club (1985) ★★★
Okay, I will admit, this movie is slooooow. I can
definitely see why some people don’t like it. However, it was still able to
hold my attention and made for a very enjoyable watching
experience. This movie also sends a very important
message and I definitely still think this is a movie
that everyone should see at
least once. Plus, the soundtrack for
this movie is pretty great.
Favorite Quote: “Each one of us is a brain, an
athlete, a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal. Does
that answer your question? Sincerely
yours, The Breakfast Club.”
Favorite Character: Bender
Here’s a nice little throwback to the end of my senior
year of high school when some of my friends
and I recreated that iconic ending scene.
