Ultimate Christmas Cookie Competition Part 1

With the holidays fast approaching, everyone seems to be doing some baking. I mean

I myself tend to do a lot of baking during this time of year too. However, this year

things are looking a little different in the baking department for me. This year I am

baking more than just the standard chocolate covered pretzels and peanut

brittle. This year I am baking fifty different cookies. Yes, FIFTY, and am pitting

them against each other in a Christmas cookie showdown to end all Christmas

cookie showdowns. I want to know what the ultimate Christmas cookie is.

Which holiday cookie is THE holiday cookie. The best. The most beloved. The

one that is a step above all the rest and should really be baked every year and

handed out with the gift baskets. It is quite the endeavor, but y'all should

know by now I love a good challenge. So get cozy and get ready to join me

on this journey to find the Ultimate Christmas Cookie.

My inspiration for this challenge actually started last year (2022) when I came

across an article on Delish.com featuring a slideshow of the most iconic holiday

cookies from all 50 states. Scrolling through the list there were some that

surprised me. Some I had never heard of before. And some that I just

could not agree with. (Fortune Cookies?! Really California?! lol) However, these

emotions I felt while scrolling through the list eventually led me to an idea

I will probably later regret: What cookie is actually the overall best holiday

cookie in all of the United States? So now, a year later, I am in the

kitchen trying to find out.
