Ranking the Most Popular Christmas Treats
Making Christmas treats was something my mom and I
would do together every year so it holds a special place in my
heart and is a tradition I (and everyone who receives treats) am
glad I carry on. This year, after adding a couple new treats to the lineup, I
thought it would be fun to place them all in a head to head competition
to see which one would reign supreme (much to my stomach's dismay I
would later find out. Waaaay too much sugar! Lol). Would it be the same
treat I loved as a kid (puppy chow)? Or one of the
new additions (which are marked with an asterisk)? Scroll on down to find out!

Rankings
8. Sugar Cookies
I have to admit compared to all of the other treats the sugar
cookies had the least amount of flavor and so I had
to put them at the bottom of this list.

7. Peanut Clusters (aka Christmas Crack)
Chocolate covered anything already has an advantage to me. I
personally am not a huge fan of peanuts in general (unless they
are in Reese’s form), however, I liked the crunch
they added to this treat.
.
6. Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark*
I really, really, really wanted this to be higher on the list
because, in theory, it should be like eating a Reese’s. However, in the
end it was simply just too rich of a treat. One
small piece was enough for me and the winning treat needs to
be something I could eat an entire container full of in one sitting
with a scary amount of ease.

5. Chocolate Covered Nutter Butters*
You have chocolate, peanut butter, salty pretzels, and a wonderful
crunch that when put all together makes for a pretty dang good treat.
I will be honest, this treat didn’t quite live up to my expectations given
the combination of all the perfect ingredients, but it was
still pretty good and almost too cute to eat!
.
How To Make:
Melt chocolate in a bowl and then fully coat both
sides of the Nutter Butter cookie in the melted chocolate.
Before the chocolate hardens place pretzel antlers, candy
eyes, and a red candy nose (I used red M&Ms) on the cookie.
.
4. Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Most people’s ultimate combination of salty and
sweet. This is definitely a treat I could eat by the handful.
.
3. Christmas Tree Brownies
Everyone loves brownies so it comes as no surprise to me that
these Christmas tree brownies are so high in the rankings. I will
admit, however, that I had to dock some points off because of the
frosting and sprinkles (I am not a huge fan of either, especially on
my brownies), but otherwise these were great.
.
2. Peanut Butter Blossoms
Until I bite into a peanut butter cookie it is like I forget just how
good they are. Probably easy to say they are my second favorite
type of cookie. I could sit and eat dozens of these
peanut butter blossoms with no regrets.

1. Christmas Muddy Buddies (aka Puppy Chow)
Being the true Midwesterner that I am it probably comes as no surprise
that this treat is still coming in at the top of my list. You just cannot beat
puppy chow! (Although, and I never thought I would say this, but I
would omit the M&Ms and chocolate covered pretzels.
Just leave the puppy chow. lol)
