Watch It Wednesday Part 17

I was going to say that this was overall a pretty meh week of shows buuuut then

one movie came into the lineup to make up for them all. I think I might even go so

far as to say it was my favorite movie of the year! Scroll on down to see what it was!

.

.

Girl In the Picture SKIP

.

Interesting story with some shocking aspects, but overall forgettable

documentary. Definitely think there are others out there that are a better

use of your time than this one such as the ones in my True Crime Junkies article.

.

Alone SKIP

.

I learned a lot from this show. Mainly the fact that I know like zero primitive skills

and would probably die within the first 2 days in the wilderness. I mean seriously

if these supposed survival experts are struggling in these conditions I KNOW

I wouldn’t make it an hour. Lol Unfortunately though this show was pretty meh. Like it was

interesting because of the survival tips you can learn (probably bumped my survival in thw wilderness up from 1 hour to 3), but there really wasn’t a

ton of drama that kept me glued to the screen or super invested in the contestants.

.

Boo, Bitch WATCH

.

I really enjoyed this show which comes as no surprise to me since it comes from

the creators of another show I loved to watch, Awkward. This is a great "no

thinking while you watch" show filled with humor, drama, and a shocking

twist that will just have you hitting "next episode."

.

The Longest Night SKIP

.

This show had me interested the minute I read “serial killer” in the description.

Unfortunately, that was about the only time it held my interest. I think this show

would serve a heck of a lot better as a movie than a TV show. Each episode

just drug things out too much for no good reason! I'm over it.

.

Resident Evil WATCH

.

I can’t knock this show for trying with its attempts at building suspense and

cliffhanger endings because, well, it worked on me. I found myself halfway

through season 1 before I even knew what was happening. With that said though

this show isn't one you need to watch immediately. However, if you are

looking for semi-decent zombie apocalypse show then I'd give this one a go.

.

All American: Homecoming WATCH

.

I was so sad to have finished watching all of the episodes of All American last

month so when I saw All American: Homecoming, well, I’m sure you can imagine

my excitement. I have to say this spin off series isn't as good as All American, but

I still very much enjoyed watching it and binged it like no one's business.

.

Virgin River WATCH

.

If you are a Hallmark movie lover this show has your name written all over it

because everything about it from the soundtrack, to the actors/acting, to the plot

is exactly what you would find in a Hallmark show. Now normally that statement

would have me running far from this show, but for some reason I just couldn't

stay away. Maybe it is because I am getting older. Or maybe it is because one of

my friends loves this show (well he loves the main actress lol). Or maybe it is

because I can really relate to one of the characters and some of the situations

in the show. Whatever the reason this is definitely a show I am going to

continue watching and one I think you should too.

.

Alba SKIP

.

This show sounded like it had potential, but after giving it 4 episodes worth

of my time I finally quit. It was just boring and there was nothing about

it that made me want to keep watching.

.

The Gray Man WATCH

.

I heard this movie being hyped up on the radio so I was pretty excited to give it

a watch and I am happy to announce that it did actually live up to the hype!

Not only did it have a star studded cast complete with heartthrobs Ryan Gosling

and Chris Evans, but it also had an interesting plot and action scenes that made

me not want to look away. Definitely a movie you want to watch.

.

Persuasion WATCH

.

Hands down one of the best movies I have seen since Avengers Endgame. This

movie had me laughing out loud, it infuriated me, it broke my heart, and it made

me cry happy tears. Now I cannot wait to read the book! Great job Netflix, you

nailed it with this one.
