Watch It Wednesday Part 9
Y’all I don’t know what’s going on, but lately the Netflix trending do be killing it!
Once again this week’s Watch It Wednesday features a lot of must watch shows, movies,
and documentaries that you won’t want to miss out on so scroll on down to see
what you need to be adding to your list!
.
Stay Close SKIP
Here I was bragging on the trending shows and then I start off the article with a "skip."
Oh well. Lol I saw this TV show on the trending list and after finding out it was
actually based on a book I waited to watch it until I had finished reading the book (of course.)
However, this might have been a mistake. As it seems to go with books turning into
shows/movies…nothing in this show was how I pictured it and there were definitely
some story changes. Like an insane amount of story changes. Like are we sure this was
based on the book because umm I don’t even remember this storyline type of
changes. I pushed through four episodes and well, I could see how someone who
hadn’t read the book could maybe find this show interesting, but it still wasn’t one I
needed to keep watching or one I will recommend.
.
The Tinder Swindler WATCH
Holy crap. Now that is how you do a documentary! So so so so good! The
ending of it did make me upset just because of the information that was
presented and you will see what I mean when you watch it, but this is definitely a
must watch documentary. And ladies….if a man ever asks you for 25k…don’t give it to him.
.
My Best Friend Anne Frank WATCH
I have always been interested in the story of Anne Frank and so I added this to my watch
list immediately. The entire movie is in another language, but watching it translated
wasn't terrible. Overall I thought the movie was really interesting and it provided a
perspective into the story I had never seen before.
.
Can You Keep a Secret? SKIP
Tyler Hoechlin’s good looks weren’t enough to make this movie worth watching. It was just plain dumb.
.
Raising Dion WATCH
I didn’t want to watch this show because I thought it was one of those shows that
was strictly made for kids, but that is not the case here. There is enough drama
and mystery to make it a decent show for adults to watch as well. However, with
that being said, the title kid Dion was so dang annoying. Maybe that’s just how
kids are, but I really wanted to slap the crap out of him and tell him to shut the heck
up anytime he was in a scene. Lol Overall, I do have to say that this show intrigued
me, it was one I wanted to keep watching, and the soundtrack is straight fire.
.
Murderville WATCH
This show surprised me. I thought this show was going to be dumb, and well, it is, but
in the best way possible. It had me cracking up laughing so many times and I loved all
of the celebrities they chose to make guest appearances. This show with it’s stupid
funny jokes and improvisations is like Brooklyn Nine-Nine meets SNL and I am totally here for it.
.
Catching Killers WATCH
True crime junkies this is definitely a show you don’t want to miss out on. You get
to watch as the people who were behind the capture of some of the biggest killers
out there talk about how they managed to bring them in and all their struggles along
the way. It is so interesting getting to hear the story told from the side of the detectives
and investigators that were on the front lines trying to get these murderers off
the street and hearing just how emotional and passionate they are about the cases
really takes it to another level.
.
Love Is Blind WATCH
Watching this show and seeing people propose to one another after less than
a week of talking behind walls just left me flabbergasted. I seriously cannot remember how many
times I caught myself just shaking my head because of how ridiculous the show is, BUT I
love it. Lol I know I would never be able to go on this show for a multitude of reasons I
won’t disclose here, but I do like the idea that these people are learning about one
another first without looks getting in the way. I do think that that helps develop a
much stronger connection so good job show. Lol
.
Countdown SKIP
This is pretty much a modern day cross of The Ring with The Conjuring movies, but
without all the horror. Lol The concept is that you download an app that tells you
when you are going to die. Fun right? (I mean I personally don’t want to know that,
but hey to each their own.) If you try to avoid your fate you break the user
agreement and a demon torments and then kills you exactly when the app said you
would die. Honestly, not a bad concept, just poor execution. Like I said there weren’t
many scenes that were scary. I mean they were creepy, sure, but nothing that had me
wanting to hide under the covers and definitely no jump scares. I had much
higher hopes for this one.
.
Inventing Anna WATCH
This show has me HOOKED. Y’all Shonda Rhimes has done it again. All I want to do is
sit and watch this show and even though she is a bit of a bitch I really like the main
character Anna (at least so far lol). Definitely a must watch.
