Foodie Friday: Noffy's Sandwich Shop and Pub - McPherson, KS

Y'all have heard me talk about Noffy's before in my small business article

and in multiple Instagram stories. However, today they are finally

in the hot seat for an official Foodie Friday review. Will they continue to

be a restaurant I recommend or will I be singing a different tune?

Scroll on down to see!

.

Driving down main street in Mcpherson, this unassuming little sandwich

shop is definitely an easy one to miss. However, to do so would be a

grave mistake. While this restaurant is tiny the flavors in their

food and drinks are huge.

On this day I met my friend Becca here for a long overdue lunch

date. We decided to have our lunch a little early at 11 to beat the

lunch crowd (which was a great idea because by noon all the tables

were full!) and chose a table right by the window.

.

Our server was at our table almost immediately after sitting down

to get our drink orders. When he returned with them he gave us

a rundown of their current special, which was a honey smoked

turkey with sharp cheddar, full-leaf romaine lettuce, onion, tomato, and

your pick of oil/vinegar, mayo or both. He definitely showed he was

very knowledgeable of their menu and specials.

.

We were given some time to look over the menu and then we were

visited by another server who took our food orders.

.

Becca ended up going the healthy route and ordered the garden hoagie

full of all the veggies with a side of pasta salad.

.

.

I, no surprise, did not get the veggie sandwich and instead went with the

traditional Italian hoagie with a side of potato chips, one of their

most popular menu choices.

.

.

Becca's review was that the food was great and that she loves that veggie hoagie.

.

I agree that the food was great and have two things I want to

specifically point out about Noffy's.

.

1) Their bread is incredible. Like seriously. That bread was my favorite

part of the sandwich (who's surprised? Lol). It was soft, but still firm

enough to hold the massive sandwich together and had a slight crunch

to it that was just *chef's kiss.* I'm not sure if it is homemade in house

or not, but if it is y'all imma need that recipe. I could eat that with some

butter smothered on it for every meal. 🤤

.

2) You won't be leaving here hungry. They definitely are not skimpy

with their sandwich toppings and I am convinced their sandwiches are

bigger than 12 inches. I have had to get a to-go box every time I have been here.

I've never had a bad experience at Noffy's and we aren't starting

today! Both of our servers were extremely nice, personable, attentive, and

knowledgeable about the food. They made it feel like they were happy

to be there serving us and even during the lunch rush were making it

to every table in a timely manner. The atmosphere is great too. It's

hip and chill with an east coast vibe and it is a place that makes you

want to just bring all your friends. And of course the food is delicious.

Their use of actual fresh ingredients (their fresh ingredients make Subway's

look like a joke) and creative menu options really give them a leg up and make

it a place unlike anywhere else in town (maybe even in Kansas). I didn't try any

of their alcoholic drinks, but I hear they are pretty good (most of them are local beers!) and

around the holidays they have specialty drinks you can order (as well as some

specialty desserts 🤤). You can even choose to carry out some cocktails such as a

Moscow mule, a mojito, or a red sangria. Oh and the owners of Noffy's? Amazing

people. Definitely a place I will continue to go and support and also continue to rave about.
