We walked into this corner ice cream spot and I immediately felt like

I was no longer in Salina, but instead in a big city like New York or Las Vegas.

The interior had low lighting offset by modern LED light up tables and

chairs and even a light-up photo area. In the front of the place

there was a DJ booth, a super trendy and cute cocktail bar in

the middle, and fun games on the tables. It. was. awesome.

.

.

We were handed menus before we even sat down and began crafting our sweet treats.

.

.

After we all knew what we wanted we walked through the door to the

ice cream lab where we got to watch our rolled ice cream be made.

.

.

Easton was up first and got the vanilla base with Oreo flavor and

whipped cream and marshmallows on top.

.

.

Next up was Caitlin who got the Cookie Monster topped with

whipped cream, M&Ms, and a caramel drizzle.

.

.

Next was Brittany who went with a vanilla base with snickers flavor

and topped with whipped cream, snickers, cherries, and a caramel drizzle.

.

.

And then finally it was my turn. I went with a chocolate base with

Reese's flavor and topped it with whipped cream and M&Ms.

The Reviews:

.

When I asked Caitlin her thoughts on the ice cream she

replied, spoon in mouth, with "Oh it's pretty good!" She also said she

was really really digging the caramel sauce and gave the place an easy 10/10 rating.

.

Our next review comes from Brittany who said she thought the ice cream

was pretty damn good. Her only complaint was that she wished she

would have had chopped snickers on the top of her ice cream rather

than a whole mini snickers. She ended up giving the place a 9/10.

.

Easton has been the man hard to impress on these Foodie Friday

outings, but he didn't even hesitate to give this place a 10/10 this time saying

he liked his ice cream because it had whipped cream AND Oreos

on top which I mean....yeah...I get that 100%.

The Point Stats:

Cleanliness/Decor: 10/10

Price: $$

Overall Rating: 10/10

As I mentioned, walking in to The Point was like being transported out

of Kansas and into a super trendy big city bar. I half expected to walk outside

after eating and hear all the hustle and bustle of a big city, see crowds of people in

the street, and then have to call for a taxi to take me back to my high rise

apartment building. I never would have expected a place like this to open in

Salina, Kansas, but y'all I am sure glad it did. I would easily go back to sit

and chill with friends here while eating ice

cream. Oh and speaking of ice cream. I don't know about you, but to me

there is just something about rolled ice cream that makes it taste better

and this was certainly no exception. This ice cream was absolutely delicious

and y'all would be dumb to not stop in and give this place a try.

(I can't wait to go back and try one of their shakes!)
