Foodie Friday: Billy Gail's - Branson, Missouri

I LOVE going to restaurants that boast crazy foods whether that be towering milkshakes or cinnamon

rolls bigger than your head and Billy Gail's certainly fits into this category with their advertised

14 inch pancake. Yup. 14 inches, honey. So glad I got to try out this Branson restaurant

with my family and hope you enjoy reading about our eating experience below!

We pulled up to the restaurant about 9ish, managed to find a parking spot in the already packed parking

lot, and then joined the crowd of hungry people waiting to hear the magic words, "your table is ready."

We stood outside chit chatting for about an hour and then it was finally our turn.

.

We were led through the rustically decorated restaurant, were seated at two separate tables because

we had such a big group, and then began looking over the menu with tummies grumbling.

.

.

Trying to decide what to eat was difficult because there was just so much on the menu and it all sounded

amazing. However, we all eventually made our selections.

.

Jordyn ordered Billy's Belly Buster Breakfast.

.

I ordered the meat lovers omelet with sides of hash browns and wheat toast.

.

.

Jet went with the biscuits & gravy with sides of sausage and hash browns.

.

.

Dad ordered Gail's Famous Omelet with hash browns and a biscuit.

.

.

Adam also went with biscuits and gravy with sides of sausage and toast.

.

.

And finally, we of course ordered the 14 inch pancake.

Overall Rating: 4/5

The inside of Billy Gail's definitely looks a bit like the inside of a redneck hoarder's

shop (American Pickers dream place), but yet provided you with that down home charm without being too

overwhelming. My dad and I honestly spent a lot of time with our heads on a swivel just looking at

everything that graced the walls and hung from the ceiling. Our waitress started out pretty good and she

dealt with a couple of our difficult orders, but after that first initial stop we didn't really see her again

until it was time for the check to be brought. Finally we have the food. Hot homemade deliciousness.

The portions you receive here are INSANE and there wasn't a single thing I tried that I didn't love.

My only complaint is that I thought my omelet could have used more cheese, but otherwise it was

perfect (and judging by the other clean plates at the table I would have to say

everyone else thought it was pretty great as well lol). Oh and the 14 inch pancake was

1000% worth it. Definitely a place I would return to.
